Gregory W. Roberts

35+ years in higher education and enrollment leadership

For nearly twenty years, Mr. Roberts served on the University of Virginia's President's leadership team as Associate Vice Provost of Enrollment and Dean of Undergraduate Admission, following earlier leadership roles in the Offices of Admission at Emory University and Georgetown University. Across more than three decades in both private and public higher education, he has built deep expertise in enrollment management, strategic planning, organizational development, budget oversight, marketing, and institutional strategy — along with experience in student financial services, institutional data and research, governmental relations, NCAA Division I athletics, academic and student affairs, and international student admission.

He authored the first guaranteed admission agreement between the University of Virginia and the Virginia Community College System, co-authored the University's response to the Students for Fair Admission Supreme Court decision on the use of race in college admission, and chaired the President's Task Force on College Access, a university-wide study that led to significant improvements in institutional outreach and support for underserved students. As Dean, he led the Office of Admission through some of the most consequential challenges in modern higher education — a global pandemic, civil unrest, campus tragedy, significant budget constraints, demographic shifts, shifting institutional priorities, and repeated leadership turnover — always with a steady focus on mission alignment and long-term institutional sustainability.

Mr. Roberts has been an adviser to three university presidents, four provosts, three chief operating officers, and rotating Board of Visitors appointees on institutional enrollment goals, tuition and pricing models, communication, and the strategic use of need- and merit-based financial aid. He is committed to advancing equity, access, and excellence in higher education, and is a frequent speaker at national conferences including NACAC.

Our Approach

Working Together

Every engagement begins with listening. We take the time to understand your institution's history, culture, and aspirations — or your goals, values, and circumstances — before offering a single recommendation.

01

Listen

Institutions

We start with your history, culture, and aspirations — not a template.

Students & Families

We start with your goals, values, and circumstances — not a checklist.

02

Assess

Institutions

Enrollment data, market position, aid trends, and competitive landscape.

Students & Families

Academic profile, activities, financial context, and true list of fits.

03

Strategize

Institutions

A plan aligned to mission — enrollment targets, yield tactics, aid modeling.

Students & Families

A plan built around fit — college list, application strategy, aid navigation.

04

Partner

Institutions

We stay engaged through implementation, not just recommendation.

Students & Families

We stay engaged through decision day, not just the application.
